ASHANTI GETS SUED....AGAIN
Seems like a celebrity has to be sued atleast once a year these days. Just last year, a Geaorgia based record label (who worked with her at age 16) sued Ashanti for breach of contract saying that she didnt acknowledge them after the success of her debut CD. She lost the case and was ordered to pay them $630,000.
This time she's being sued by former manager Linda Berk. In 2003, Linda Berk's contract "naturally" expired and was not renewed by Ashanti. Now after three years, she is suing her for "breach of contract".
